Direct Store Delivery
Direct Store Delivery (DSD) is a method of delivering products from a distributor directly to the retail store, bypassing a retailer's warehouse. The vendor manages the product from order to shelf. Major DSD categories include greetings cards, beverages, baked goods and snacks, pharmaceuticals, and others. The DSD business processes are different enough to warrant a separate GCI group.
